Veterans

Stonehouse Health Clinic is proud to be Armed Forces Veteran Friendly accredited. Our Veteran Champion is Sammi Gannaway-Pitts, who is also our Operations Manager.

A veteran by definition is anyone who has served for at least one day in the UK Armed Forces (Regular or Reserve).

We ask that patients consent to joining our Veterans Register so that we can be aware of their previous service. To do this please either complete this form or you can ring our reception team and they will ensure that your record is updated.

The Veterans Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA) aims to improve NHS care for the Armed Forces community by supporting trusts, health boards and other providers to identify, develop and showcase the best standards of care.

To date, 37 hospital trusts have been accredited as ‘Veteran Aware’, having demonstrated their commitment to eight core manifesto standards, including signing the Armed Forces Covenant, raising awareness of veterans’ healthcare needs among staff, and establishing links with local support providers.

The Gloucestershire Armed Forces Veterans Connect website provides up to date information and news relating to the veteran community. There are also links to available support services and charities. View the website by clicking on this link.
