We are now required to allocate a named GP to each of our patients and to also inform them of the name of the doctor. When you first register with us you will be allocated a usual GP which is recorded on our clinical system. The usual GP will also be your named GP.
The usual named GP that we allocate to you may not be the same as the doctor that you see most often. If this is the case, please tell us and if possible we will update your record accordingly.
You are still free to choose to see any of the GPs, but we encourage patients to see the same doctor for any on-going problems and chronic disease management. If you are not sure of your usual named GP, please do ask at your next consultation.
